Why it exists
It started with a frustrating experience. I needed to make a small change to a PDF and tried a popular tool that advertised itself as free. After installing it, it asked for a single dollar to continue. I paid the dollar.
About a month later, a $50 charge showed up on my card without warning. No clear notice, no easy refund, and plenty of company in the Reddit threads about the same product (it goes by the name pdf-customers). I am sharing my own account here; you can read those threads and form your own view.
What PeedEF is
The deliberate opposite of that. Genuinely free. No credit card, no trial, no subscription, no watermark, and no surprise charge at the end. Every tool on this site is free, unlimited, and works without an account.
Your files are processed only for your browser session and are never stored or shared. The whole site is the tool. That's it.
Who's behind it
PeedEF is built by Matt Hodson, a software developer from Lincoln, UK, trading as Search Ventures Ltd.
